Submitting an application needn't be overwhelming. We've listed some useful tips and pointers to help get you started. And below that, dates for your diary.
Although you must nominate an Australian Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) registered charity or non-profit organisation, you can elect to work for it either here in Australia or overseas.
You must liaise with your chosen charity or not-for-profit organisation and agree on a plan before lodging your application. Not only will they have a heads-up that you’re applying, we reckon they'll have some good advice on how to make your application the best one there is.
In your application, you’ll need to state your plans and outline your goals for the year. You'll also need to prove you have the passion, skills, knowledge and qualities to achieve them.
Although the application limit has been set at 3,000 characters, don’t feel you have to use them all. If you can state your case in less, go for it.
Don't hurry. Take your time to build your case.
